MJB Biography
Since leaving college with a honours degree in Fine Art and touring the world as a drummer, I have enjoyed a career in senior arts management and have been furnished with a range of job titles such as project manager, programmer, festival producer, development manager, director and chief executive within a range of arts organisations from major venues, touring agencies, recording facilities, educational organisations, festivals and consultancies.
My major passion is for working with extraordinary and emerging artists, in fostering exciting ideas, and in producing unique and extraordinary arts experiences. My art form specialist areas are music, cross art form performing arts, contemporary theatre and dance.
My experience has taught me that successful artists careers are built out of unflinching self belief, dogged persistence, hard work, a constant supply of new ideas, the ability for reinvention, a need to work successfully with other people and in getting yourself into the right place at the right time. Ive also learned that the only opinion that really matters is yours ……and your audience’s.
Now committed to freelance and self generated work, I was recently described as ‘a nomadic arts professional who specialises in working on short to medium term creative projects I also value working most with long term partners on calculated risk taking projects that start with innovative and exciting ideas that audiences will be excited and challenged by.

Our knowledge, understanding and experience within the arts is very extensive, we know what works, what doesn’t.
We are results focused. We take the creative, ambitious and ideas driven approach.
